What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As a solo developer I have very limited possibilities to test the game, assure proper design and keep development for a long time. Early Access will help get some feedback, funds and motivation to deliver all the crucial features that can be missing and only users can point it out.

Edd-E is a game that can be expanded continuously and Early Access will be just a first public update.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It all depends on the feedback and number of features users will consider crucial for creating levels in Edd-E. I expect it to take not more than several months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Any future updates may include more devices, scripting nodes, and textures. Scripting may change to provide more freedom or features, allowing for the creation of more complex behaviors. Game publishing is planned, but the release date for this feature is unknown.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early Access version has all fundamental features allowing to design a level, import custom textures and create scripts with handling input, creating variables, applying movement or create complex math.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“After the Early Access price may go higher, depending on the number of added features. After successful release of the game, price will be rising along with the game expansion, adding new content and improving scripting.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback and features requests will be crucial part of the development before full release. My task is to deliver all the features creators need to make a game with Edd-E.”

About This Game

Build Games

Build games using editor mode. Place static objects, physical objects and programmable devices that can interact with the player or other elements in the game. Create games or learn programming by playing!

Visual Scripting

Use Visual Scripting to program devices. With many available blocks you can easily use player input, implement enemy behavior or even infinite coins spawner if you want.

Event Binding

Some devices have event triggers and/or event handlers you can bind. Event trigger triggers event handler, while event handlers execute commands. Examples of event triggers are: button click, collision, detection sensor. Examples of event handlers, however, are: open door, game over, spawn object.

You can connect event trigger with event handler to easily use predefined behaviors without making scripts. For example, you can bind button click trigger with the door open handler. Clicking the button will open the door - simple, right?

Publishing

One of the best features in Edd-E is publishing! After creating game, you can publish it online, by simply clicking Publish - and its done! Everyone will be able to find and play your game.

You can play games published by others, but also edit them, to make your own modification or learn how its made.
