«We'd like to develop the core features of the game alongside the community to make the game the best it can be. Additionally, developing the full story content for this project will take time, and we'd like the game to be available for players while we develop the final product.»

«Our plan is between 1 and 2 years. Beyond our core team, the rest of our company team members are unable to work full-time due to budget constraints, so we'd like to leave ample room to develop the final product without unhealthy crunch.»

«We plan to include a full critical path story for the player to follow as they level up their truck, as well as more areas, cozy minigames, and characters.»

«Our current early access provides the vast majority of core mechanics, including cooking and card mechanics, a phone with numerous game-connected apps, and explorable areas with characters to speak to and gather quests from.»

«Yes. We would like to provide a cheaper entry for the early access experience as you will be experiencing a less-than-finished experience that will grow alongside you. We plan to raise the price when all features are present, and potentially when the full story is complete, but we will assess this based on user feedback during Early Access. Regardless, we want the game to be available to the most people who will enjoy it.»

«We want to use community feedback to improve game feel, course correct on feature upgrades, and gauge interest on characters to potentially flesh out characters we didn't know people would connect with as much as others we had planned stories for. With open-ended RPGs like this, players will find sections of the game more fun, and we would like to allow room for us to put more time and energy into developing those sections that the community connects with alongside primary development.»

Take Control of the Upstart Chef!

Chef Klaus just knows his food truck is going to be a hit: Problem is, he doesn't have a truck and didn't go to culinary school! Klaus goes searching for a used food truck, and finds a real bargain: He can have the truck for free from the fins of Sloan Shark, if only he'll sign a mysterious contract and agree to pay back the loan before the deadline. So begins Klaus's Flavor Tale!

The world of Flavor Tale is vast and diverse, filled with a cast of crazy characters from all walks of life. You'll find fantasy creatures, anthropomorphic animals, and personified concepts walking around and co-existing in a large city teeming with culinary life. Uncover the mysteries of the Culinary Government, the Food Mafia, and more, as you befriend (or bedevil) the residents with your unique cooking and can-do attitude.

Unleash the Ingredients!

Ingredients in the world are stored in magical cards until it's time to serve and eat! Use unique card synergy and combination mechanics to get the most flavor out of each of your ingredients and dishes, as you serve customers at your food truck.

Stock Your Pantry!

Find ways to stack your deck (pantry) with the exact kinds of flavors and ingredients you want, to serve your way! Want to be a sandwich truck? Source your ingredients from the local bread vendor to reliably acquire bread, and build sandwiches on the fly as your draw cards from your deck during service. Any strategy is viable as long as customers are happy and money is flowing.

Find New Ways to Make Meals!

Use unique friendship key-chains acquired through story events and side-quests to add special abilities during cook time, and upgrade your kitchenware to improve things like fine-control over temperature, larger deck sizes, and more.

Enjoy the Ambience!

Enjoy the satisfying sounds of cooking and the city while accompanied by a jazz-inspired soundtrack that reacts to the time of day, state of the game, and city locales.
