Why Early Access?

“We know the scope of MycoRelic will take time to develop beyond the point of simply being playable, but we don't want to hinder our community and fanbase from playing and contributing, so we have decided to give our early supporters the opportunity to experience MycoRelic's growth and development first hand. Buying a game in Early Access means trusting developers to stick to their commitment on delivering a great experience, and we plan to do that. Placing our game into an Early Access state on launch will allow us to facilitate a growing community of fans to journey along with us in creating an amazing game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“1-2 years, this range of time depends on where we are in development at the time of Early Access launch, as well as being influenced by where we sit financially as a team during continued progress of developing our game towards a v1.0 launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The playable state of our game during Early Access is just the beginning; we want the game to be fun for countless hours, and the world we are creating has endless potential to be further built upon. In the future we plan to include gameplay mechanics such as village building, expanding the playable world with new zones, enemies, bosses, and puzzles, as well as new additions to character abilities and weapons to diversify player choice. There is so much we want to bring to MycoRelic beyond an Early Access launch.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In the game's current state, players can play solo or together with friends, explore the world to find loot, defeat enemies with weapons and magic abilities, craft healing items, and make their characters powerful enough to challenge the various bosses and zones around the game world. The game currently lets players make decisions on how to both approach team synergy as well as facing enemies using the game's various weapons and magic abilities. Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. As we continue to spend more and more time on MycoRelic, we know the quality of our game will continue to grow, so we plan to raise the price as additional content and features are added once MycoRelic has left Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a MycoRelic Discord group specifically for us to maintain a close relationship with our fans and players.
