Return to an old game project that you once abandoned, only the game hasn’t stopped changing since you left it. The game has begun to evolve, NPCs have slowly started to abandon their intended rolls, new bugs have emerged, and the morality of this world is becoming questionable. As the creator of this world it is up to you to determine the direction of the game. Will you attempt to restore the game to its intended state, or has this world deviated too far from sanity to be saved?

  • Fix bugs by traveling to alternate versions of the game and using your insight as the developer to solve puzzles.



  • Upgrade your developer skills to get access to the games source code. This allows you to directly influence and shape the game's world.

  • Make friends (or enemies) with the local NPCs! Some of them are glad you’re back, others not so much…

  • Contribute to the town by gathering resources and completing quests for the NPCs



  • Unlock the secrets of the game and the NPCs within it.

ThisIsTheGame blurs the line between player and developer, allowing you to cause NPCs to exhibit tendencies that might be perceived as negative or harmful. Players may find themselves pondering the consequences of their actions long after they've logged off. As such, it is recommended for mature players who are comfortable navigating gray areas of morality.
