Avant-Garde: Napoleonic Battles brings you into the heart of the great Napoleonic battles, in a real-time strategy game on a hexagonal grid where every choice counts. Developed by a solo developer.

You take the place of the greatest generals of the era. You observe the terrain, sense the weather, gauge the morale of your troops, and adjust your forces. Key events unfold: the arrival of reinforcements, the death of a general, the explosion of a building… Every moment can transform the fate of the battle.

You can follow the historical course and test your strategic skills under the same conditions as your predecessors. Or you can change the outcome: reorganize your troops, experiment with troop numbers, anticipate or provoke decisive events. History is your playground, but beware, every decision has consequences.

You maneuver on the same terrain as the generals of the era, under realistic weather conditions. Every enemy move follows a historical logic, and each unit possesses specific attributes: morale, ammunition, skills, and formations. History sets the stage… your decisions shape the outcome.

The battle is raging. Reinforcements arrive, buildings explode, and leaders fall in combat. You must anticipate, provoke, or avert these decisive moments. Each event presents an opportunity, or a danger, that you can exploit to gain the upper hand and transform a critical situation into a decisive victory. Make use of your historical knowledge or develop it while facing the enemy.

Clear and concise tutorial: Avant-Garde offers a simple learning curve so every player can quickly grasp the game mechanics.

Two attack modes:

• Simplified orders, where a single click is all it takes for the unit to automatically make the most of its movement and positioning.

• Precise orders, for more complete strategic command, where you dictate precisely to your unit what actions to perform.

You can use both modes at any time during combat.
