What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“If the gameplay is too strong, it will reduce the time spent practicing English.
On the other hand, if the gaming aspect is too weak, it will not contribute enough to the motivation to practice English.
I opted for early access to collaborate with players and find the best balance between English practice and gaming.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Early Access is scheduled until the end of 2025.
However, the period may vary depending on the demand for the game and the progress of development.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Depending on the feedback I receive, I plan to add features that will motivate players to practice English,

For Example:
New stages and characters
New character costumes
Additional cards”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“As of the release of the Early Access version, eight playable characters and more than 60 different cards have been implemented.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“When new content or features are added, I will consider whether to increase the price accordingly.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to get feedback through multiple social channels including X and Steam discussion forums.”

About This Game

This game combines English Practice with the gameplay of a “Card Battler”. Collect cards by freely creating English sentences and win battles while building unique decks.

If you do not practice English words and phrases you learn, you will not be able to express yourself clearly. However, it is also boring to just create sentences or talk to yourself for practice.

This game adds fun to English practice and helps establish good habits.
No correct answers are required to play, so feel free to enjoy deck building and battles while creating English sentences.

Please read before purchasing

At the time of Early Access release, the game’s UI and conversations will be in Japanese only.
This game is developed to promote English practice only. As it is not intended for educational purposes, there are no explanations of word meanings, grammar, etc.
You need to prepare your own vocabulary and phrases for practice.

Game Flow

After 5 practice rounds, a card battle will occur. Repeat this process 7 times, and if you win all the card battles, you will win the game.
By repeating the cycle of English practice and battles, you can make English practice a fun habit.
The game is over when you lose a card battle, and you will have to start from the beginning.

Story

There is a city developed in a certain place in Japan where English is the only language spoken.
The protagonist, who has failed to make English conversation at work, receives a chance invitation to the city as a monitor for an English training program.
During the training, the protagonist is required to work in an English-speaking environment and win weekly debating battles.
Can the protagonist make it through the two-month English training program?

Deck Construction

  • Choose one of the multiple cards offered as a reward for English practice and build a deck for that battle only.
  • Find a combination that works well with over 60 different cards.
  • You can also strengthen cards by combining same cards.

Unique Character Skills

Active skills – which can be activated at will – and Passive skills – whose effects are always active – are set for each character. Build your deck or select cards to play, taking into account your skills and those of your opponents.
Also, you can set different appearances to your character by accomplishing missions and other activities. Skills also change according to character appearance, so enjoy building your deck in different ways.

Additional Playthroughs

Whenever you beat the game or it beats you, a single card can be obtained. That card can be exchanged for points in your next and subsequent plays, so you will be able to build a more stable and stronger deck as you play more and more.
Also, since the performance of cards is determined randomly, please try to play as many times as possible to obtain the best performing card.
Play scores and rankings are also displayed at the end of the game, so aim to improve your highest score.

Favorability Events with NPCs

Your likability rating with NPCs will be increased by practicing English. There are several levels of sensitivity, and at each level, conversation events will occur, and rewards will be obtained.
Please enjoy the strategy of raising the favorability of NPCs.

Support for Efficient English Practice

  • If you provide your own API key, you can ask Chat GPT to make corrections, etc.
  • Register the words and phrases you want to practice, and the system will give you questions with time intervals that take into account the date and time of your last practice and your level of proficiency.
  • The import and export of words and phrases to be practiced in CSV format is also supported. Please use it to exchange information among users and to streamline the registration process.
  • If you cannot think of a subject for an English sentence, it will display a random question.
  • By using standard Windows voice recognition software, voice input is also possible.
  • By registering a URL, you can search the meaning of a word or phrase on a dictionary site with a single click.
