About This Software

Come say hi! *
  • Note - I'll refer to this as BMD (Bot Maker for Discord) to keep things simple

If you just want to see how app interactions look like, here's the official guide

BMD is a list-based bot maker. This means that everything, from your commands, to your actions, are displayed chronologically - and can be reordered to fit your wants. For example, when a command is ran, actions (keep reading to find out what they are) run in the same order you placed them. Being list-based prevents your project from going spaghetti (compared to flowchart bot makers)

If you're coming from Discord Bot Maker, you'll find that this app is very similar (although more updated) in most cases.

Alright, let's get to business:

Actions

What are they?
Think of a command like a puzzle. You know how puzzles have pieces? Well, an action is basically a piece of the puzzle (your command/event) - you have over 250 actions in BMD
An action can either send a message, make a comparison, play some music, ban somebody, wait for a few seconds, jump to another action (and more).
Sidenote: most actions rely on variables (a blessing in disguise) - I pointed out how to use variables in this guide!

Support for Discord's API features

This app supports: Installable Apps (Follow this tutorial), Polls, User/Message/Slash Commands, you name it!

Community

Steam's built-in community isn't quite active for this app. That's because we have a Discord server () that's generally quite active (except on sundays and mondays, for some reason)
Feedback is also taken in consideration. In some cases, some feedback is added in less than 24h.

What about DRM?

There's none. The app's source code is free to be seen - I pointed out how in the Discord server's FAQ.
You're also allowed to share the app around (<-- written statement granting you permissions to hand this over to your friends)

Why this and not another bot maker?
