“As a solo developer, releasing BMX Bastards in Early Access allows me to continue improving and refining the game with the help of player feedback. This collaborative process ensures that the game meets the expectations of the community while giving players an opportunity to experience it early and contribute to its evolution. Early Access provides a way for me to gather insights from a wider audience, which is invaluable for making BMX Bastards the best it can be at launch.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Based on my current development plans, I anticipate that BMX Bastards will remain in Early Access until the end of 2025. However, this estimate may change depending on the feedback received and any additional features or improvements that arise during development. My goal is to ensure that all content and mechanics are as polished as possible before the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan for the full version of BMX Bastards to expand on the Early Access version by adding features that enhance the overall experience, such as multiplayer mode, a park editor, and more. Our goal is to continue improving and refining the game based on player feedback, reducing bugs and ensuring smoother gameplay. However, the development process is flexible, and these features may evolve or change as we gather input from the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of BMX Bastards currently features the core gameplay mechanics, including bike physics, aerial tricks, manuals, flips, and grinds. Players can explore three maps, one of which is the main map that will grow and receive additional areas and parks in future updates. Additionally, there is a Bike Editor for full customization of the BMX, including the option to choose a mountain bike (MTB). A Character Editor allows players to customize their character with different clothing options. These elements provide a solid foundation for the game, which will continue to evolve and improve during development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the game’s price will increase as it gains more value. As more content and features are added, the price will reflect the growing scope and experience offered to players. Therefore, the final version will be priced higher than the Early Access version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Just like with the prototype demo I released in late 2023, I will carefully consider every piece of feedback from players to keep improving and polishing the game as much as possible. Players’ suggestions and ideas will play a crucial role in shaping the final product. I’ll also actively engage with the community through community groups, social media, and regular updates, ensuring that their voices are heard throughout the entire development process.”
