Why Early Access?

“By releasing the game as Early Access, we get the opportunity to make Lexicon the best possible version of itself based on your feedback. Lexicon is very much still a work in progress with only 2 layers partially complete. However, we want to share what we have with the gaming community to make it the best it can be.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current plan is to stay in Early Access until we can release Lexicon's definitive version - a polished, ~4-hour experience on PC. If our Kickstarter succeeds, we're hoping to complete the game around March 2027. As we develop further, we’ll be sure to let you know about our final release date.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full ~4-hour release is intended to deliver the complete Lexicon experience, encompassing all six layers of Limbo with polished art, music, dialogue, and puzzles. The Early Access build is an actively evolving version of the game and may change as development continues and player feedback helps shape the final experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our Early Access version of Lexicon contains the first 2 locations in the game which we estimate will take you about 2-4 hours to complete. Since our game is a linear narrative, these first 2 locations give the player a taste of what is to come. They teach the player how to play the game, contain relatively simple puzzles, and set up the world’s story. As we develop further, more mechanics, more polish, and more complex puzzles will be added to the game.

Although we have worked diligently to rid the game of annoying bugs, this is our first iteration of Lexicon in the early access phase. As such, bugs will unfortunately appear from time to time, and we need your help to squash them. When you experience a bug or find something you don't like, please let us know, so we can make the game the very best it can be.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. We expect the final release to be priced similarly, though the price may increase if significant new content or features are added beyond the current scope. Early Access players will receive the full, definitive version of Lexicon at no additional cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our goal of being in early access is to learn from the community and make Lexicon the best it can be. As such, your feedback will directly influence Lexicon’s evolution, and we can’t wait to go on this exciting journey with you!
