Why Early Access?

“BaulaQuest is an ambitious project with many more features, levels, etc. slated to be added. While the whole game could be completed and shipped fully in a couple years, it would be more advantageous to release it now in early access and see how players react, especially since BaulaQuest is only being developed by one person (at least, at the moment) and is a more challenging title, thus meaning it would greatly benefit from feedback expressing whether it is fair or not.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“However long it takes to complete the full game. I estimate it might take me around 2 to 3 years to complete, but it could very easily take longer (and probably will, especially if it remains a solo project).”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“
  • More levels (= more enemies, bosses, music, characters, etc.)
  • More mechanics
  • More cutscenes / animations
  • More cat people
  • More cats in general
  • Even more DANK lore and story
  • Any and all suggestions from players that I like and wish to implement in a reasonable time

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Version 0.1.0 will be the complete remake of an earlier version of BaulaQuest I made in 2018, featuring four levels, numerous enemies, several musical tracks, three cutscenes, two bosses and the first ending.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“With each new major update to the game, the price will increase slightly. Buy early, save money.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback will be highly sought after in BaulaQuest's development. Besides just adjusting the already-made levels according to player's frustrations, suggestions, etc., listening to their comments about how the game could be the best it can possibly be in future updates will be vital to BaulaQuest's success. I am also open to modding support so that players can create unholy levels to share with their "friends".

Besides that, I wish to involve the Community however I can in making BaulaQuest the best game that it can be!”
