Enter a cursed forest on the brink of collapse in Kloa - Child of the Forest, a handcrafted pixel art action-adventure RPG blending fast-paced combat, exploration, and emotional storytelling.

This playable demo features two distinct biomes filled with corrupted creatures, environmental puzzles, hidden secrets, and two major boss encounters. Master Kloa’s katana and Soul Bow, harness elemental relics, and begin restoring balance to a world consumed by the mysterious Ikari Curse.

The forest is dying.

A mysterious force known as the Ikari Curse has twisted peaceful animals into violent creatures and driven ancient elemental spirits into madness. As Kloa,  a human child standing between two worlds, you are the only one capable of cleansing the corruption and restoring harmony.

This demo includes:

• Two handcrafted biomes with unique enemies and environmental challenges

• Full access to Kloa’s core combat systems

• Melee combat with the legendary Sakiko katana, including combos, guarding, and projectile deflection

• Ranged combat with the Soul Bow, featuring charged spiritual arrows

Combat is deliberate and skill-driven. Timing your guard, managing your Nature Points, choosing when to dash, and knowing when to strike are essential for survival. Enemies demand awareness and adaptability, especially in larger encounters.

Exploration is equally important. Hidden paths, forgotten memories, and environmental interactions reward players who venture off the beaten path.

All of this unfolds in a vibrant pixel art world inspired by classic top-down adventures and Japanese folklore, accompanied by an orchestral soundtrack influenced by traditional Japanese music.

This demo represents the opening of Kloa’s journey and the first step toward saving the forest.
