Varför Early Access?

“Project Arcade currently contains one playable mini-game, but the plan is to add a lot more of them, plus a lot of new features.

It is in Early Access because these additions are too large and significant to be called patches but they also would not make sense as DLCs.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“It is difficult to predict when Project Arcade will leave Early Access, but I expect it to be fully released in roughly 10 months, and no later than November 2024.

This should give ample time for the project to grow and reach a state where it can stand comfortably on it's own.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The full version is planned to contain a lot more mini-games. Besides that, I want to add a lot more features in general such as:

• - More languages
  
• - Steam Deck support
  
• - Steam Cloud saving
  
• - Accessibility options
  
• - Better sounds
  
• - Cool animations
  
• - and so on...

My advice is to purchase any Early Access game if you are happy with the current state of the game, or if you want to support the creator to continue development, not based on promises made for the future, and Project Arcade is no different. Having said that, I do hope to get to do all of the features above and more, that is the plan.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“At the moment, Project Arcade contains one fully playable mini-game: Memory Cards, with two modes: Pairs and Triples and 10 levels each, ranging from very easy to very difficult. It saves your best scores and gives you a cool medal if you finish a level with no mistakes.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“It is difficult to predict the price change when the game fully releases, it will depend on the number of mini-games and features present among other factors.

If I had to take a guess, I would say the price might increase very slowly as new content gets added. However, I am fully aware this project is a collection of mini-games and not a next-gen AAA game, and it will be priced accordingly.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“The community will be vital to the success of this project. I plan to take all their feedback on all aspects of the game, ranging from new mini-games, addition of accessibility features, new languages, or even out of the box crazy ideas, as long as they stay true with the core goal of this project.

I want to be as reachable as possible given the circumstances, and encourage everyone to share with me their thoughts, feedback and even criticisms on Steam or outside, so that I can improve the game and it can move in a direction that represents the community collective wishes.”
