“We believe that the best way to develop Midforest Survivor is by actively seeking feedback from the playerbase during the development process. We consider it crucial to engage with actual players to ensure that the game is both enjoyable and well-balanced. Additionally, we aim to improve the compatibility of our game with a wide range of VR devices, and we would appreciate the input and assistance provided by our players.”

“Our plan is to stay in Early Access for 6 months, but this may change based on feedback from the players.”

“We plan to add more enemies, weapons, skills and upgrades. Our main goal is to achieve a more balanced and rich gameplay experience based on player feedback.”

“The current Early Access version contains all features described in the About section, but their implementation is not final and fully balanced yet. There is only a basic set of enemies, weapons, upgrades, and skills at the moment. The purpose of this early version is to provide only a core gameplay experience, which we plan to enhance based on player feedback.”

“Potentially will be priced higher at full launch.”

“We will create the Discord server shortly before the Early Access release. Players will be invited there via an announcement and social media. Everyone will be able to share their opinions, suggestions or questions about the game. The main communication will be based on Discord server, but we will use Steam Forums as well.

Additionally, we plan to provide development updates in the form of short articles about new content and changes for the game.”

Về trò chơi này

Midforest Survivor is a survivor-like VR game with roguelite elements. The player is (surprisingly) trying to survive in the middle of a forest. Take your guns, shoot the hordes of regular deadly forest monsters and upgrade your skills and weapons.

STORY

You play as an unfortunate ordinary human, who ended up in the middle of an ordinary forest. You know, that nasty evil place without any concrete, roads and cars, were everything is just trying to kill you all the time. Fortunately there is still the man’s best friend with you… oh yes, that’s right – a gun! Obliterate bloodthirsty monsters and survive a forest.

AIM, SHOOT AND RELOAD

Since this game is a VR game, it brings one interesting small twist to the survivor-like genre. The player need to actively aim guns through iron sights and reload manually with hands. More and more monsters are all around you and it becomes more and more challenging to aim and shoot them fast enough.

LEVEL UP

As killing monsters in time becomes more and more difficult, it is necessary to collect points and level up your character. At each new level you can unlock one of the upgrades or skills.

UPGRADE WEAPONS

Unlocking weapon upgrades can gradually improve your shooting capabilities significantly. There are upgrades for bigger magazines with more ammo, for better sights, extra damage effects for bullets, faster reloads or even burst and auto fire modes.

UNLOCK PASSIVE SKILLS

Alternatively you can upgrade skills that unlock ways to deal extra damage passively without the need to actively fire. This becomes especially important later at night when there are too many enemies and where passive skills can really help with crowd control.
