An introvert's experience in an extroverts' world

Misgiven is an emotional 2D sci-fi adventure game about the lump in your throat and how difficult it can be to open up to others.

As a space adventurer stranded in a city of masks and unbreathable fog, you come across the mask of an explorer, whose role you'll have to play to stay alive and deliver a warning no one wants to hear. But how well can you pretend to be someone else, and how far will you go?

Explore a city shrouded in mystery

You are stranded in the city of Koriol - built on the rim of a giant crater, veiled in toxic fog. Get lost in the hazy, neon lit streets of this mysterious metropolis. Remember to exchange your mask's filter in order to survive in the fog. Visit rundown night clubs and floating temples. Could this strange place become a home?

Experience the world through the mask of a stranger

Your life is saved by the mask of Kasturi, an explorer who disappeared trying to deliver a warning of impending disaster. You'll have to pretend you're her in order to survive. Investigate Kasturi's past, discover her social circle and find out what happened to her. Will you take on her role in order to save the city? Can you afford to drop it?

Wrestle with your words and make meaningful choices

As a lonely space explorer in an identity crisis, your social anxiety makes it difficult to open up to others. Dialogue options - your thoughts - have different emotional weights: some things are harder to confess. Depending on your relationship, your openness to another person can change over time, and new topics can become available. Play it safe and stick to smalltalk, or try to squeeze in difficult topics - and risk being misunderstood.

Express yourself with holographic emotes

When you make friends in Koriol, some will give you holographic emotes :D Use them to in dialogue to convey a certain tone and change the course of the conversation. Emotes show off your connections and grant you access to people and places.



And they let you flip off anyone who's earned it.
