Duskborn

Duskborn is a 3rd-person roguelite game. Descend into the Abyss as fast as possible, level up by defeating various enemies, collect and combine items to upgrade your player. Maneuver through the Abyss with your jetpack and grappling hook. The race against time is on.

„Duskborn has been developed by an interdisciplinary team of students as a semester project within a time frame of four months. Currently it's planned, that the development of the game will be continued next semester.
We also want to collect player feedback to improve the game experience and add things you like to see. So if you have feedback leave a review with your feedback.”

Körülbelül mennyi ideig lesz ez a játék a Korai Hozzáférésben?

„It depends if Duskborn will be continued next semester. In roughly 8 months there will be a full version of the game.”

A tervek szerint miben fog különbözni a teljes verzió a korai hozzáférésűtől?

„We plan to add more enemies and bosses, more individual weapons, more levels and intergration of the storyline.”

Milyen állapotban van jelenleg a korai hozzáférésű verzió?

„Currently you have two ways of fighting. One short range sword type and a long range gun, each weapon with a special ability. Move around with a jetpack and grappling hook. You can fight against three types of enemies. Collect parts, which can be comined to powerful upgrades. After each level up, you can spend enhancement points to permanently upgrade your player stats. Over time the enemies are getting stronger and also more in numbers. At the end you have to fight against a boss, to clear the first and currently only level.”

Eltérően lesz árazva a játék a korai hozzáférés alatt és azt követően?

„This game will always be free.”

Hogyan tervezitek bevonni a közösséget a fejlesztés folyamatába?

„If there will be a PR department next semester, we plan to regularly post updates of the development status. Also if you provide feedback on how the game is, we can improve things to your liking.”

Duskborn has been developed by an interdisciplinary team of students as a semester project within a time frame of four months. We hope you enjoy our final results!

It's the year 2114. Humanity is on the brink of extinction. An unknown organism spreads across the earth and annihilates the whole ecosystem. The cause of this catastrophe lies deep in the Abyss, an old city built on the perimeter of a deep and massive crater.
As an Abyss-Diver, your mission is to discover the city and search for a way to prevent humanity's extinction.
Explore the city, collect items, and fight against enemies and bosses.

Race against time
You're not welcome in the Abyss. The unknown organism will do everything to protect itself. The longer you stay, more enemies will appear and they're stronger than before. So watch out for the timer, which indicates the next incoming difficulty level. Good luck!

Level up
Distributed throughout the whole level and by defeating enemies, you can collect various trigger and effect items, which can be combined into a powerful upgrade for your character. There are nearly limitless combinations, so every run is a unique experience. Also, with every level up, you can upgrade fixed stats of your character.

Enemies
Face different types of enemies, each with an unique set of movement and attacks. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, these enemies are trained to eliminate you as quickly as possible. So watch out for swarms of drones or the deadly sound of the big laser.

Boss fight
To progress further in the Abyss, you have to face the Stormcaller. This boss it not made out of sugar. With heavy and smaller sneaky attacks, the Stormcaller tries everything to prevent you from reaching the end of the Abyss. With his little helpers, this boss should not be underestimated. Will you defeat the Stormcaller or are you set back to beginning? What are you waiting for?! Jump right into the action and show the Abyss who the boss is.
