Varför Early Access?

“Movierooms is an ambitious management game and building a project of this scale is a big challenge for a small independent team of just seven people, with currently one main developer working on the core systems.

Early Access allows us to continue development in a sustainable way while actively involving the community. With limited financial resources but a huge amount of passion, we prefer to grow the game step by step, improving stability, adding features, and expanding historical levels together with our players.

We believe community feedback is essential to shape the best possible experience. Early Access helps us prioritize what truly matters, fix issues faster, and design a tycoon that players genuinely want.

Rather than rushing development, we want to build Movierooms carefully, transparently and alongside the people who love cinema as much as we do.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“We expect Movierooms to remain in Early Access for at least 12–18 months, but we prefer not to set a strict deadline.

Our goal is to grow the game step by step together with the community, releasing frequent updates, new historical eras, features, and improvements based on player feedback. Rather than rushing to a 1.0 release, we want to make sure each system is polished and each level feels meaningful and complete.

Early Access will last as long as necessary to deliver the quality and depth the game deserves.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“We plan to continue expanding Movierooms during Early Access as development progresses. The current version focuses on the first historical eras and an initial Sandbox experience, and we would like to grow the game over time based on community feedback and the evolution of the project.

Possible areas of expansion may include:
- Additional historical eras inspired by different moments in cinema history.
- More Sandbox tools, props and customization options.
- New types of customers with varied behaviors and preferences.
- Improvements to the user interface and overall usability.
- Expanded progression systems such as technologies, upgrades and equipment.
- More movies, staff roles and management mechanics.
- Additional missions, events and narrative elements.
- General balancing, stability improvements and polish.

Our goal is for different eras to feel distinct and reflect changes in the cinema industry, although features and priorities may change during development.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“The game is currently in Alpha. Players can already experience two historical eras (1900 and 1930) in Story Mode, along with an early version of the Sandbox mode.

Core systems such as cinema building, staff management, movie scheduling, and the first implementation of the save system are fully playable. However, the game is still being actively expanded and polished.

During Early Access, we’re focusing on fixing bugs, improving stability and balance, and continuously adding new equipment, movies, features and historical content to enrich the player’s cinema experience.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to gradually increase the price as we add significant new content, including additional historical eras, major gameplay features and expanded systems.

Players who join during Early Access will be able to purchase the game at a lower price and directly support development. Our goal is to grow together with the community and build a richer, more polished experience by listening closely to player feedback.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We want to keep the community closely involved throughout the entire development process.

We’re actively connected on our Discord server, where we share progress, discuss design decisions, collect feedback and talk directly with players every day. Transparency is very important to us and we like showing not only what we release, but also what we’re working on behind the scenes.

In addition, we plan to launch major updates and patches every quarter, so even players who don’t use Discord can easily follow the game’s evolution and see consistent improvements.

Our goal is to grow Movierooms together with the community and shape the game around player feedback.”
