What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I think it would be a great way to involve the community in the game development process, as well as get feedback on how to make a better, more fleshed out game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until April 15th, 2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add two non-English translations (Spanish and German), as well as many more pieces of music in the game's soundtrack.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable from start to finish. Near completion in terms of content and features. It will be easy enough to add new content that the community recommends/wants to see, but currently all that is missing is the new music and the translations.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will not change when we leave early access, even if more new content outside of what is planned gets added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I want the community to be able to provide their opinions on what content they want to see in the final version of the game. Participation through the Steam Forums and the game's discord is encouraged to help brainstorm ideas on how to improve the game.”

Reviews

“The early '10s-teenage-summer-beach atmosphere and the amazing soundtrack create the perfect setting for the themes of friendship, love, growing up and moving on. In general, I am a huge fan of the whole 'cute things turn scary' trope, but please understand that this game is so much more than that. I don't mean to compare, but if you're a fan of DDLC, you'll most likely enjoy Siren's Call.”

“This is, hands down, one of the best visual novel experiences I have ever been through, if not the best. You absolutely will not know what you are about to witness when you play this. Every character feels alive. You will grow to care about every one of them, especially the main character[..]Everything in this game is treated about how it should be in real life, making for a realistic experience that really sits with you.”

“Siren’s Call: Escape Velocity is a thoughtful coming-of-age story wrapped in a slow-burn mystery that artfully tackles its themes and cleverly takes advantage of the possibilities of the visual novel medium. Come for the thrill and atmosphere and stay for the heart.”
9/10 – Nook Gaming

About This Game

As a story that begins at the end, all that's standing between you and adulthood are your old party members. Your best friends.

After a summer of deadly fights with supernatural creatures known only as "Sirens," you and your friends finally have time to relax and enjoy yourselves. But in the wreckage of a job well done...it's become obvious just how fleeting their time with you actually is. Even so, it's your job to say goodbye to each of them and go to college. It's your job to be an adult.

Still, it's five of them versus one of you. And after years of friendship and an entire summer of fighting side-by-side, these people know exactly what it takes to make you want to stay home...for just a bit longer.

A game that's designed to make you as unsure of yourself as humanly possible, Siren's Call takes full advantage of every aspect of the visual novel format to deliver a mind-warping storytelling experience. Can you get the "Hell" out of Florida? Will you reach Escape Velocity?
