“We're at a stage in development where the game is functionally fully made but requires substantial feedback from players for the sake of balancing, quality-of-life improvements, and gameplay experience.”

“Between the third and fourth week of February. Till then, we'll run various playtesting cycles where we gather data from a certain period, make changes depending on what we find, and then rinse and repeat this cycle until we feel confident that our product is the best for the final release or till our deadline of early February.”

“The full version would have the same amount of gameplay but with more polished systems, visuals, gameplay, and new features that aid in game flow and player immersion.”

“The current state of the Early Access version is mostly content complete with around 95% of the desired gameplay already in the game. Most of the art (textures, animations, etc.) are temporary/placeholder and will be replaced with their finalized versions in future updates. Almost all progression systems (Perktronix, Arsenal Ascender, Fortune Teller, etc.) are in the game and fully functioning with some coming in a later update like the "Maxtronix Machine". All player mechanics, HUDs, and level mechanics are in the game and fully functioning. All enemy types and mechanics are in the game and fully functioning.”

Face the Horde

The onslaught intensifies as you progress in Blackout. Brace yourself for dynamic challenges with new zombie types emerging every few rounds. Weaker foes are replaced, keeping you on your toes. Beware the occasional appearance of ability-immune boss zombies – formidable adversaries that pose a game-ending threat. Focus your skills and weaponry to conquer these powerful foes, ensuring your survival against the relentless tide of the undead.

Upgrades, Upgrades, Upgrades!

Immerse yourself in a 1-20 individual stat increase player upgrade system, drawing inspiration from DnD. Upgrade your stats strategically through zombies-style machines, empowering your character to confront the unyielding horde with newfound strength and resilience, the Arsenal Ascender, Fortune Teller, Perktronix machines, and more await your exploration.

Self-Defense

Equip yourself with an array of upgradable weapons, harness 15+ unique abilities, deploy grenades, and unlock special bullet types in Blackout. Mastery of these tools is the key to survival – seamlessly combine them to pave your way through the relentless waves of enemies. Each tool at your disposal offers a distinct advantage, and only those who learn to wield them in harmony will achieve the highest level of success. World Progression

Journey through Blackout's dark landscapes, where the very essence of progression lies in the completion of harrowing rituals.
