Varför Early Access?

“We have a production roadmap which will go live in the coming days after launch and we would like to keep each milestone in-line with the wants of the community. Wreckage is to be developed live, and with the support and direction from the people who love these kinds of old-school car combat games!”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“We expect to stay in early access for 6-12 months.”

“We plan to focus heavily on delivering a classic single player story-based experience between now and version 1.0.

Drivers will have their story campaigns, vehicles will have unique special abilities and stats, and each level will feature unique landmarks, destructible, and gameplay events. We currently have 21 levels planned either as campaign arenas or challenge maps. We're also working on classic energy-based abilities such as freeze, shield, and jump.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Story campaign is playable through the first 4 levels, featuring 9 playable vehicles, and 1 mid-point boss. Challenge mode has 2 bonus levels not found in the story. Cheats are in, multiple weapon types, all basic controls.”

“We want to show our appreciation for those who join the Early Access by offering a discount in this time leading up to the final release. Wreckage couldn't be made without your support, and we hope you enjoy it!”

A throwback from the classic car combat era, set in a post-apocalyptic sunny south Florida! Wreckage exists in an alternate timeline where Lead-based gasoline was not banned, and crime waves decimated the sunshine state. From the opening crawl you are a prisoner, condemned to die by car combat. You escape the stadium and into the crowds. And from there, who knows...

The violence is pretty light, but like Twisted Metal there are pedestrians that can be struck by cars. Vehicles and pedestrians are lo-res and pixelated. During fights, enemies catch on fire, scream and explode into a red cloud in a cartoonish style. Violence is generally set in an unrealistic and humorous tone. Drugs and crime are referenced in cutscenes and character bios.
