Warlock's Gantlet is a sword & sorcery themed, hack'n slash FPS.

It stars you, as a warlock (wizard), on a trying adventure during which
you must face many enemies and explore several different locations to
reach your goal.

The game is very retro-flavoured, running on a custom-built,
software rendered engine, quite reminiscent of those found in early
to mid 90's 3D games.

The violence on display is very similar to that of 90's FPS games like Doom, Blake Stone and Blood. You will be killing/destroying enemies in large numbers throughout the game, which will result in some graphical death-animations.
All such depictions occur as animations of very low-resolution sprites, much like in the above mentioned games, but some of them are certainly gory.
