Welcome to Arkem


Arkem combines various elements of real-time strategy and role-playing games in a medieval world.
You take on the role of a castle lord who takes command from the first foundation stone of the castle to great defensive battles.

Your tasks are wide ranging:

  • Build your own castle and establish a village to supply it. Manage resources, expand and upgrade buildings, design and embellish your land.

  • Equip your subjects with weapons and command your troops to protect what you have built.
    Watch out for robbers, resist bandits and survive long sieges.

  • Explore the world and experience adventures to gain advantages for yourself and your castle.
    Talk to important people in surrounding villages and towns to unlock new quests and resources.

Changeable game modes - Arkem offers a smooth transition between RTS and third-person RPG in a medieval setting.
Build your castle, manage resources, command your units, defend your possessions in a familiar RTS perspective.
Explore large maps, complete quests, find new equipment and upgrade your gear with a classic RPG character.
Both game modes merge seamlessly and dependent on each other.

Build your castle - Start with a foundation stone and gradually expand your castle into a mighty fortress.
A symbol of your rule, a useful defense against enemies, but also simply your home.
Use the resources provided by the land, unlock new structures and use the many modular components to customize your castle to your liking.

Immerse yourself in the game world - Take control of your self-created character to explore the world around you.
Experience stories and adventures, upgrade your equipment and find useful items for your castle.
Actively help defend your castle from enemies or trust your warriors and go on a journey.

Thrilling scenarios - Viking raids, the European Middle Ages, the first crusades.
Arkem is loosely based on the historical Medieval period between 950 and 1300 AD and takes these topics to heart.
We create our own world, but make reference to real events.
