„The game will remain in EA until we've finished work on "Aphrodisia" (Q3-Q4 of 2025), which is a self-contained story module covering Chapters I-III of Captain Hale's journey. We can't predict exactly how long this will take, but there's already some 25h of playtime in the latest build, with an estimated 50h+ once all the content has been implemented.”

INTERACT WITH FANTASY RACES


During your travels through Hortus you'll come across a variety of fantasy races (elves, dwarves, orcs, shifters, goblins, etc.). Befriend or battle them, seduce or ignore them - the choice is yours! Many of these non-humans offer quests or tasks, while others will do their best to get into your pants as soon as possible! From covetous goblins to haughty elves to lust-crazed she-orcs, each one is a unique encounter with something to offer (lore, wargear, treasure, gold, sex, information, etc.). Some will come searching for you, while others are tucked away and hidden in secret locations waiting for you to find them!

ROLE-PLAY AND LEVEL UP YOUR PROTAGONIST ARCHETYPE


Apart from all the lewd content, the game offers robust role-playing opportunities, letting you pick from many available choices that allow you to make your mark on the world!   • BUILD UP YOUR ELITE RETINUE

    You have certain duties to fulfill as you bear the burden of leadership - it's up to you to organize, arm, and feed the men and women of the Fort's elite First Company who serve directly under your banner! The Captain's Retinue is your extended entourage - a group comprised of a couple dozen loyal soldiers, alongside all their wargear and supplies. If your core party is like a scalpel, then your Retinue is the sledgehammer you'll send to weaken enemy positions and bludgeon large groups of hostiles into submission!

  • RECRUIT & ROMANCE COMPANIONS

    Recruit a diverse group of companion characters as you meet them in the wider world of Hortus. These trusty sidekicks will travel alongside you on your adventures, offering their blades and spells in combat, and their advice and companionship during downtime... Get to know them, befriend them, and even romance the ones you like the most! Earn their trust on and off the field of battle and they'll gradually open up to you, sharing their personal quest. Opt to help them if you wish to see them grow, or crush their dreams and dash their hopes forever if you desire to enslave them to your will!

  • VANQUISH FOES IN PARTY-BASED COMBAT

    When diplomacy fails, engage your enemies in captivating party-vs.-party battles! Pit your crew of 6 against numerous foes, fighting waves of enemies in exciting turn-based card battles. Equip your party with items and consumables that buff their stats and expand their card hand with new spells and abilities... then crush the opposition through merciless tactics! Almost every piece of gear bestows unique card-based abilities: weapons bring offense, armors defense, and magical paraphernalia spells. Leveling also unlocks unique cards for each hero (partymember). Mix-and-match all this to your heart's content until you've got a mean crew capable of soloing even dragons and demigods!

  • HARVEST RESOURCES & CRAFT ITEMS

    The world is full of resource nodes ripe for the taking! Gather these to turn them into weapons, armors, trinkets, brews, potions, alchemical reagents, and a host of useful enchantments with which to empower your party's wargear! Or simply farm the countryside for materials to later sell at a hefty profit... Crafting stations scattered throughout the world will let you assemble and disassemble items, letting you craft unique gear while breaking down anything you no longer need or want to sell.

  • RESOLVE GLOBAL & LOCAL CRISES

    The troubled times bring with them many crises, some global and others local... Every crisis is unique and specific in its own way, but all of them represent far-reaching calamities or problematic events of one sort or another... These multi-quest endeavors will push your party to its absolute limit, but the rewards are too good to pass them up!
