He smiles to himself and goes back to painting. Beside him, reading her book, is his only real friend. Sully's the reason he's on this ship in the first place. He smiles again and reaches for another pot of paint.

Sully awakes on cold stone, the sound of pounding rain filling her world. She slowly gets to her feet, the endless rain soaking her to her skin. She looks back at the smoldering wreck of her old life and looks up at the endless black sky.
