“To get constant feedback and to continue developing the game in close collaboration with the players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I estimate 8 to 12 months, but it depends on the feedback I get from players so it's subject to change.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to include more content of all kinds: Hero Classes, Minions, items, relics, environments, game modes, etc...
Combat mechanics may be adjusted a bit over time, but not much, I already experimented with it a lot (with constant feedback from testers) and I believe the current version is close to final.

I plan to re-do GUI and tutorial almost entirely, and to significantly improve everything else like environments, visual effects, sound and music.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The full game loop is already playable, minor bugs and glitches come up once in a while but I usually fix them quickly.
Current content:
  • 12 Hero Classes. 9 of them already playable, the other 3 are only available for enemies right now, but I plan to make them playable very soon. More classes may be added later.
  • 34 Hero Items
  • 22 Relics
  • 30 Minions
  • 126 Skills
Enough for many hours of gameplay and experimenting with different builds.
Whenever you win a run you can increase the maximum difficulty, up to infinity, so if you like to challenge yourself you can go on for a while.

The GUI is perfectly functional, but ugly. Making it more aesthethic is one of the main priorities right now. But everything has tooltips, there are detailed screens for calculating damage and such, you will find everything you need.

Landscapes are far too simple right now, I plan to add more detail into them over time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will be slightly higher at full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Currently, with most testers I'm in contact privately. But I'm hoping most people will come into the discord channel so we can discuss everything as a group instead.
I'm open to feedback in any form, but I'm thinking about implementing tools like in-game reports and surveys too.
I plan to release updates every one or two weeks and pay close attention to how players react to it.”

Skirmish

Game Modes

Classic:

  • Fight through 6 pre-defined Regions with unique features, each with an unique Boss randomly assigned, to unlock the Final Region.

  • The order in which you fought the Bosses will shape the Final Boss that you must defeat to win the game.

  • Winning will unlock one higher difficulty level

  • Endless:
    Choose between 3 randomly generated Regions with randomized features. Once cleared, you get 3 new choices, and so on infinitely.

  • Difficulty increases sharply after each Region and it doesn't end until you lose. See how far you can make it!

Challenges:

  • Create the perfect Squad by freely selecting any Heroes, Minions, Items and Relics.

  • Test your Squad against a wide variety of pre-defined challenges
