Why Early Access?

“Stellar insurgency is an ambitious project that has been in development for some time. It's currently playable in a late Alpha state, and it is consistently growing and improving over time. In order to ensure a smooth release and obtain the feedback needed to make the game the best it can be, a couple of steps need to be taken first. A demo will be released around April to introduce players to the game mechanics and overall feel. A very late Alpha version will then be released a few months after the demo, as an Early Access build. Your feedback during Early Access can help identify and rectify issues that may be invisible to the developer, greatly improving the game.

Please note that Early Access will not be used for funding purposes. If you're interested in providing feedback, suggesting new features, and being a part of the project's development, we encourage you to participate during the Early Access phase. However, if you prefer to wait until the project is more fully developed, please consider waiting for the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At this time, we are unable to provide a definitive answer. However, based on our estimates, we anticipate that the game will remain in Early Access for approximately one year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay mechanics of the game will remain the same between the Early Access version and the full version. During Early Access we plan to add new features and additional content based on the community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable, and all major and minor features described in the 'About This' section of this page have been implemented. For more information on these features, please refer to that section.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As a reward and to show gratitude to those who took part in the Early Access stage of development, the price for Early Access will be reduced.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The involvement of the community is one of the most important reasons for releasing this game in Early Access, which will be facilitated through means such as our Discord server, Steam's community hub, or other means available at the time of release.”
