Varför Early Access?

“Early Access is necessary for Cryspace as I plan to release much more content for the game down the line, and I desire to develop this game alongside community feedback to create an immersive experience from start-to-finish. Technically, while the game that will be released in Early Access could be considered a full title with a lengthy, non-linear story (with the optional Full Game DLC), Early Access feels more appropriate as I intend to develop not only at least a couple more story-lines, but also add features such as custom stories, further customization, and more. In summary, Early Access is so I can build a relationship with the community, take your suggestions and add them into the game, and add more stories/features. It will be in Early Access until the full scope of the game has been realized.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“It is hard to give a definitive answer, but I would imagine likely a year or two post-release. This is due to the fact that new stories take quite a bit of time to write especially since they are non-linear, and I would also like to allot myself a good bit of time in case I decide to add particular community suggested features, or to further optimize/make certain aspects of the game more user-friendly as time goes on.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The full version is planned to have access to three love interests to choose from, whereas for now, there exists one. The full version is also planned to contain the ability to edit your own custom stories (and upload them to the Steam Workshop for others to play), and will very likely contain suggestions made by the community as we move through various stages in the development process. It's important to note that while free-to-play players will also get additional content through each development stage, the full extent of each character's story as well as some planned features like the story editor will only be available with the Full Game DLC.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“The current state of the game allows you to experience a relationship with one of the main love interests, Sam Winters (or Samuel Winters, dependent on gender selection). The story with Sam will allow you to experience several various outcomes and endings which fully play into the decisions that you make, his/her overall opinion of you, and how you decide to treat various conflicts which arise throughout the story. Each play-through of their story alone may take you hours to complete, and with each branching path and ending, it is unlikely you will experience much overlap between your various play-throughs. Even in the free-to-play version of the game, which will contain about 30-60 minutes of game-play with Sam, you will be able to appreciate various branching paths, and you may even run into an early ending if you make poor decisions.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“No, the game itself is free. The available Full Game DLC (which will grant you access to Sam's full story and other character's stories down the line) will also never increase in price.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“The community will be a big part of Cryspace's future development, and I genuinely look forward to watching various "Let's Plays" of the game, Twitch streams, and reading what all of you have to say about it as you're playing or once you've already finished a play-through. All content produced by the community, be it positive or negative, will be used to make adjustments as necessary, fix any bugs that may arise, and overall, improve the game experience for everyone involved. My intention with this title is to create an experience that is re-playable, customizable, and enjoyable from start-to-finish for as many people as possible, and in order to do that, listening to and making adjustments in-line with what the community is saying is my full intention.”
