Hvorfor tidlig adgang?

“I've recently shifted to working on this game full-time as a solo developer. I want to move to releasing polished bits of the game at a time. Early Access allows me to get direct feedback from players about the story, the art, and any bugs or issues that might be present. Although the main story is already outlined, I always love to hear feedback from players, and to build a stronger game alongside my community.”

Hvor lang tid vil dette spil være i tidlig adgang?

“Approximately 12 months. Release is planned for 2026.”

Hvorledes kommer den fulde version til at være anderledes end produktet i tidlig adgang?

“The full game is projected to have ~20 hours of gameplay and roughly 200k words.

I plan to gradually update the Early Access build to come closer to those numbers. However, I plan for the entire story to only be released in the full version.

Additionally, while more art, music and voice acting may be included in Early Access updates, a larger pass and update is planned before release. So the most extensive version is anticipated to only be available after launch.”

“The current Early Access version is a direct continuation of the demo, and represents 14+ hours of gameplay.”

“It is important to know that the outline for the entire story has already been written. This is not expected to change majorly.

DEVIL'S LIMINAL is a branching slow-burn horror and yuri romance visual novel inspired by Azores folklore.

Margo Silva has done everything she can to leave behind the trailer park in Arizona where she grew up. Now all she has to do is focus on her job until she can leave for college. Her illusion of a quiet summer is shattered when a hungry ghost enters her dreams, and two mysterious girls show up in town, each claiming they can help her. Margo must contend with a demon's claim on her soul, and how to stop ghosts from this life and the past that want to take her future.

Slow-Burn Horror: Over the course of 200,000+ words and 14+ hours of gameplay, you must balance work, friendships, and maintain a normal facade in a life held back by poverty and domestic violence. In your quest for escapism, what will you do when you discover supernatural forces that intend to take away what little you have?
Find Love: 2 possible sapphic romance routes, and 1 secret route. Bec and Clara seem to know more than they let on, but offer you solace and guidance. Between dates, late night talks, and bloody alchemical rituals, find the love and romance you've always wanted. Or, will you abandon your humanity for something more?
Original Artwork, Music, and Voice Acting: 40+ unlockable CG gallery images planned. The handmade retro-inspired 2-bit dithered artwork is accompanied with an original soundtrack inspired by 90s and 2000s alternative. Partial voice acting brings out intimacy and horror.
Literary and Cultural Inspiration: A story that sits at the intersection of Faustian legend and Portuguese folklore from the Azores. Learn about your family's heritage, and discover the occult events of 500 years ago that set everything into motion. Confronted with death, consider your own values and what lies between living and dying.
Experience Summer: Gameplay is broken up into daily events between June 7th and September 1st. Spend the summer before college in your rural Arizona hometown. You must save yourself before September.

Clara Alexander Mysterious, Occult, Sentimental. Birthday: December 22nd. Height: 5’6”. Hobbies: Piano, crafts, reading. A mysterious girl that appeared in Margo’s dreams. She has knowledge of the occult and claims to want to help Margo piece her soul back together. Secretive about her past, conflicted about her actions, what will Margo learn when she gets closer to her?

Bec Flores. Childhood Friend, Punk, Upbeat. Birthday: May 2nd. Height: 5’10”. Hobbies: Cooking, gardening, horror movies. A fun outgoing girl that seems eager to get close to Margo. She’s supportive, but there are things she won’t - or can’t - talk about. Spending time with her is a welcome break from the supernatural, but Margo has to figure out how much to trust her, and what motivates her.
