A vicious disease engulfs the war-torn isle of Falcia, plunging its victims into what seems to be a shared delirium. Fate entwines a crippled Church-Guard with a Fallen Angel, and together they resolve to face the new threat by any and all means - despite the quickly-faltering certainty in what it is that they face.

Resources, class resources included, are scarce. Collect what little reagents and materials you can find to craft consumables, and manage your small inventory wisely. You must apply the same conduct to ability usage in battle. Vitality and class resources do not regenerate. By these rules, there must be strategy in every action you take.

IP combat returns. Control the tide of battle by interrupting enemy actions, while using stuns and critical hits to juggle turn order and buy time. Combat extends into exploration: use stealth to avoid dangerous enemies, or pacify them with well-aimed projectiles, and your resources are sure to last you longer.

Make questionable alliances, bringing varied playstyles to the table. Build your support-oriented party members in a way that complements yours, and you may gain access to deeper layers of strategic advantage in battle. Complete Requests for the residents of Falcia's towns, and they may give due reward. Your companion also happens to have a request of his own: honor his Hunt.

Find the REMNANTS OF SODIS scattered across Falcia, each hidden within a daedal Sanctum. With each, unlock a unique set of skills and modifiers that can be progressed with usage and experience, as well as an essential function in map exploration. Notice your THOUGHTS suspended before you; defy the cruel hand dealt to you through skillful play... but forget not that the troubled mind is a double-edged sword.
