The development team plans to expand Retail Wars into a fully fledged product with additional modes and maps. Currently, we want to get feedback on the game's core mechanics before we are comfortable in expanding development further.

We plan to implement global online multiplayer, as well as additional maps, throwable items and modes (including team-based modes).

The current state of Retail Wars includes 2 maps, a hub space, 4-player simultaneous play and fully featured combat and movement systems. This allows us to get proper feedback and data from players to improve these elements and inform future development progress.

During Early Access, the project will be free to ensure we receive feedback from a large pool of users. As we add more content to the game, especially after major additions like Online Play, we plan to increase the price to cover development costs.

The project has been showcased at multiple conventions before, such as PAX AUS 2022. This provides in-person engagement with fans. We also plan on expanding our online presence with Discord and Reddit communities.
