Control a space rover as you jump to avoid obstacles on a horizontally scrolling landscape while shooting down alien ships that shoot missiles from above or charge you head on. A love letter to the first game I ever played on PC.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I am a solo developer learning how to make games with Unreal Engine. I am releasing the game in Early Access for people who would like to try it so that I can improve performance, gameplay and fix bugs and could also use feedback on how to better map the gamepad controls.”

“Will be releasing fixes and updates for the game until planned release in March 2023”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will feature a number of bug fixes, performance improvements and additional levels and achievements.

The current version can be played in 3 modes - Modern, Monochrome and Pixelated (Choose the mode from the CONFIG menu on the home screen).

The latest build contains 8 levels on the Moon surface, 3 on Mars and 1 on Neptune + 1 additional hidden level that you can discover that is from first person perspective)”

Configurable look of the game (Press config on the home screen and select Modern | Monochrome | Pixel)

“Will gradually increase the price after the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Please leave feedback in the game https://steamcommunity.com/app/2196050/discussions/ discussions page in the store.

About This Game

Outworld Patrol is a side-scrolling action-shooting game inspired by one of the first games I ever played on PC.

Control a space rover as you jump to avoid obstacles on a horizontally scrolling landscape while shooting down alien ships that shoot missiles from above or charge at you head on.

The goal is to reach the planetary station in the shortest amount of time while taking minimal damage.

Built in Unreal Engine, the initial goal of the project was for me to expand my knowledge in the engine and to recreate a beloved game motivated by my own nostalgia.
