Varför Early Access?

“Game development is always better when the feedback is directly related to the players. We have reached a point in development where the game is complete enough to be playable. We want Boat Builder:Andy's Story to be a great game about building and sailing boats and yachts. To do this, we put the game in early access so that a community can appear that will help us implement new ideas in the game.”

“Release target date is the first half of 2024.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“Planning to have additional boats and yachts, islands and equipments. I plan to have divisions of wooden, plastic and metal boats, and various technologies and equipments for their construction, which will need to be bought to the shipyard. Planning to complete Andy's story.
Plus planning to have general polish, visual improvements, better UI and controls. There is also some room for additional features based on player feedback, of course.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Now you can build 1 boat (3 meters), 2 boats (5 meters and 7 meters) and 2 yachts (9 meters and 11 meters). You can buy materials from which you will build boats. The construction process is now simplified, you only need to have the materials needed for construction. In the process of passing the story, you have to complete tasks in order to open new boats. You can also trade goods between the islands. To make the trading process easier, there are retail outlets on the map, when you mouse over these outlets, you can find out what goods and at what price are sold there.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“Yes, the price will increase after release.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“I will read all messages on Steam or Facebook and will try to respond to as many as possible, and of course will do my best to add features and changes based on your feedback and suggestions whenever possible.”
