Varför Early Access?

“Shards of the Heart is a story-driven game that places heavy focus on characters, relationships, investigation, and emotional pacing. Early Access allows players to experience the opening chapters while development continues, and it gives me the opportunity to gather feedback on gameplay flow, combat balance, and narrative presentation before the full story is complete.

I want to make sure the later chapters feel as strong and polished as possible, and Early Access lets me improve the game with real player input while staying true to the story I’m telling.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“I expect Shards of the Heart to remain in Early Access while additional chapters and features are completed. Development is ongoing, and the length of Early Access will depend on scope, testing, and feedback. My goal is to continue improving and expanding the game at a steady, sustainable pace, but I am aiming to have the majority of the game and story complete at the end of 2026.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The Early Access version currently includes the opening chapters of the story and the core gameplay systems. The full version is planned to expand on this with additional story chapters, character development, new locations, new enemies and battles, expanded mechanics, and full narrative conclusions.

I also plan to make improvements to balance, UI, and overall polish based on player feedback throughout Early Access.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“The current Early Access build includes Chapters 1–4 of the main story, featuring core gameplay systems such as exploration, investigation, dialogue choices, and turn-based combat. These chapters introduce the main characters, setting, and central mystery of Shards of the Heart.

While the game is fully playable through these chapters, additional story content, features, and polish are still in development.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“I do not currently plan to change the price when Shards of the Heart leaves Early Access. ”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“Player feedback will play an important role in shaping Shards of the Heart during Early Access. I plan to listen closely to reports on bugs, balance, pacing, and overall experience, and use that feedback to improve future updates.

Development updates will be shared publicly, and player suggestions will help guide polish, accessibility improvements, and quality-of-life changes as the game continues to grow.”

A runaway from another world. A jaded cop with a buried past. A bond that may decide the fate of both.

When a mysterious girl named Leandra appears in the human world, she crosses paths with officers Sawyer Randavix, April Jennings, and their calm but secretive captain, Kaheru. Leandra wants to live a peaceful life, but danger quickly follows in her wake, danger that threatens the town of Riviera.

As demons from Leandra’s world begin to surface, Sawyer is forced to confront her own trauma, rebuild broken relationships, and decide who she truly wants to protect. Your choices shape Sawyer’s bonds, and those bonds may be the key to saving them all.

Meet the Main Characters

Sawyer Randavix
A 23-year-old police officer with a sharp tongue and guarded heart. Driven by guilt and past mistakes, Sawyer hides her compassion beneath layers of sarcasm and emotional walls.

Leandra
A gentle but otherworldly girl who has fled her home to live peacefully among humans. She knows little about this world, but her kindness is genuine. What is she running from, and why are demons chasing her?

April Jennings
A cheerful and clumsy 21-year-old officer who’s eager to prove herself. Though she often gets scared, her optimism masks a deep desire to do what's right.

Kaheru
At just 25, she’s the calm and capable captain of the Riviera Police. While always composed and friendly, little is known about her life outside the job. She seems to know more than she lets on.

Emily Randavix
Sawyer’s estranged younger sister. Shy and soft-spoken, Emily joins the police force in hopes of reconnecting with Sawyer and healing the wounds left behind by their abusive past.
