為何採用搶先體驗模式？

「Instead of releasing a full game when it is finished, we want to allow players to follow and influence the story as it grows.

Early access allows us to see in real-time what plotlines players like the most and expand on them.
This doesn't mean that some could be removed but how much players like certain plotlines will determine how much extra fan service will be added to the basic plot.

During early access, players can go through the parts of the story that are already finished and voice their opinion on certain characters, scenes, and plotlines. Especially in the later stages of the story, we plan to rely on this feedback to see if we are still on the right path or if we need to change some of the later content.」

「Depending on the success of this game, it will be in early access for anything between half a year and one and a half years.」

正式版預計會與搶先體驗版有何不同？

「The early access version of A Foreign World will slowly build up to the final version by adding additional parts of the story with every update.」

搶先體驗版目前的開發進度如何？

「The Early Access version of A Foreign World has 81,000 words of story, 1948 CGs, and 31 animations. Those numbers will increase with each update.

There is also a memory screen that reminds the player what they know about each character in the game which offers an additional 5,000 words to read through.」

遊戲售價在搶先體驗期間前後會有所變動嗎？

「The earlier you buy the game, the cheaper it will be. The price of A Foreign World will start at around 50% of the final version and then increase with the content that will be added in every update.」

在開發過程中，您打算如何與社群互動？

「There are twelve women that our MC interacts with throughout A Foreign World's basic plot. Each of them can roughly be considered as one plotline of the game. After going through the story that's already finished, we encourage players to reach out to us via Twitter or Discord and tell us about their experience with our game. This Feedback helps to determine which plotlines are best received. In future updates, these will then be explored in greater detail than the parts players aren't interested in.
In simple terms, we would like to find out which of the twelve women is enjoyed the most and offer additional fan service.

Besides that, we believe that writing a good story is a very interactive process. There is more to it than just listening to your audience and giving them what they ask for, but listening is still a crucial part. The feedback that reaches us will be considered in the later updates of the game, helping us to add a satisfying conclusion to our half-finished story.

In the best case, this results in the visual novel players came here to play, rather than a visual novel that we think players came here to play.」
