A slow-paced shooter with strategy elements set in a fully destructible environment.
Fight with unique weapons in procedurally generated worlds, build and demolish oil extraction camps, manage and upgrade your army in order to conquer the world. The fight for oil has begun!

DESTRUCTION

Lost in the Sand features structures with physics-based destruction that you can use to your tactical advantage. Either you use it to create improvised escape routes, demolish enemy's defensive structures or simply blow up stuff for fun, you are not safe anywhere on the map!

INJURY REACTION

NPCs are active ragdolls, shoot them, explode them or hit them with a car and they will react to physics forces in a realistic manner.

Their health is built on a semi-realistic injury reaction system rather than a traditional health bar. You can never be too sure if enemies are fully eliminated or just knocked out!

NPCs behavior is influenced by a range of factors like:

  • Bleeding (Affects health and consciousness)
  • Consciousness (Affects clumsiness of their actions)
  • Health (Affects consciousness)
  • Limb strength (Makes individual limbs behave clumsier)
  • Morale (Makes them use more offensive or defensive tactics)

OIL EXTRACTION CAMPS

Build oil extraction camps for gathering and defending the main resource in the game, oil.


Fortify them with defensive structures and static weapons so you can defend your oil extraction camps from enemies while demolishing and capturing theirs!


Capture all oil patches belonging to a town in order to gain control of that town. Gain control of all towns and you are victorious!

PROCEDURALLY GENERATED WORLDS

Play on endless amount of worlds, all different from each other, with endless sizes, endless oil and endless fun!

MANAGE ARMIES

Recruit volunteers from controlled towns to help you on your oil conquest. Manage camp garrisons, manage resources, give orders, build and upgrade armies and watch them do the hard work for you!

CRAFTING

Gather, steal or trade in order to get unique resources from the world. Use those resources for customization of your weapons and attachments to make them fit your play style.

VEHICLE UPGRADE

Upgrade your vehicles with armor, weapons or performance upgrades in order to gain an advantage over your opponent.

INTEL

Enemy commander's strategy is random for every playthrough so you must steal secret documents in order to discover his play style as well as his available assets, controlled areas, and secret orders.
