Crash Override

Crash Override is a randomly generated action shooter with roguelike mechanics. Surf the cybernet as a hacker for hire trying to save the cybernet from a mysterious threat. Power up before the crash wave erases everything. Gain reputation, secure contracts, salvage data, upgrade, and survive.

To help balance both combat and economy as we add new features and content. Emphasis on keeping a good difficulty balance, and overall, keeping it fun.

As feedback is gained from the community the features and content for the game will probably grow. The final version will have; NPC quests, more area obstacles, pet programs, more items, equipment to collect, expansion of the characters and story, and more in-game achievements.

The game is fully playable. There are dozens of 'frames to defend, 12 different weapons (with a large number of possible upgrade drops), 28 different enemy types to defeat, new game plus difficulty, 6 player avatars, avatar bonuses, pre-run weapon loadouts, and 46 Steam Achievements.

The mainframe has been infected, and you must surf the neon corridors of the cybernet, or risk a total system crash. Collect your arsenal, rezz, power up, battle hordes of glitches, and overpower the virus.

Play Crash Override as one of 6 unlockable avatars against a horde of enemy glitches. Experience the cybernet with its procedurally generated levels, neon visual style, and driving soundtrack.

Key Features

Reputation - Gain reputation to secure contracts to have access to new mainframes.
Strategy - Decide what mainframes to contract, and where to slow the viral infection.
Weapons - 12 weapon programs to collect - choose which to mix and match.
Onslaught - Shoot, dash, and maneuver to take down hordes of enemy glitches.
Salvage - Access RAM, data and upgrades found in the cybernet.
Upgrade - Wide variety of avatar and weapon upgrades.
Survive - Collect enough weapons and upgrades to derezz any opposition.
Randomized - Cybernet map, mainframe runs, and upgrades will be different each time. No two play-throughs will ever be the same.
