Devil Peach Soda is an action/puzzle roguelike, centered around fast-paced gameplay inspired by classic arcade puzzle games like Magical Drop and Puzzle Bobble, along with character building inspired by other modern roguelike hybrids like Gunfire Reborn.

Fight your way through a labyrinthine manor to reach the devil that trapped you here – a huckster named Peaches. To get to her, you’ll have to carve through a variety of human and devil opponents. It’s not an easy feat though, and they’re contractually obligated to come back to life if you’re defeated.

Fine-tuned and snappy puzzle combat

Match your attack’s color to an object to deal damage and build up mana for your weapon skills, or purposefully “miss” to put an orb on the board to reach something with a cleaving attack. With quick wits and good usage of your weapons, you can cut through and dismember a chunk of the game board, destroying a massive cascade of orbs.

To defeat your enemy and move on, you have to destroy all of their hearts on the game board -- while avoiding their own attacks and keeping yourself alive, of course.

Deep mechanics

Parry enemy attacks with your own well-timed attack. Match your attack's color to a falling object to 'Split' it, hitting the object beyond it. Switch weapons to get around or through obstacles. Devil Peach Soda's built around being simple to control while giving you enough depth to reward you for exploring the game's mechanics. Feeling spicy and you don’t see a color match to parry off of? You can throw a line of missed attacks at the board to cycle your weapon color and then dismember your column of misses to split them!

Combine character classes, perks, and items to support your playstyle

Take a shortsword as an Assassin and tunnel your way through the board to a priority target, or slowly build up an array of destructive spellbook sentries as a Librarian... or just take a heavy greataxe as an elemental Sorcerer, you can probably make that work!

A rich (and ignorable) story

Human or devil, whether they willingly serve Peaches’s machinations or are forced to fight, each enemy in the manor has several dialogue scenes to unlock over the course of the game. Don’t like words? Just don’t hit the button to talk to them before a fight; hide the button with an option if you’re dedicated. For the real word-heads out there, though, there’s a Story-Time difficulty and an option to unlock dialogue scenes faster.
