Why Early Access?

“Dying Breed has been built by a small dedicated team who are fans of original RTS games. Our goal is to continue to create a nostalgic retro RTS that will feel familiar to those who played them decades ago, whilst leaning into feedback from new players. In the past the team has shipped demos and gathered feedback from players which have helped to shape what the Early Access is today.

Internally tools and pipelines have been ironed out to ensure that the team can continue to add more content and react to feedback from players in order to craft the best possible experience. We hope you choose to join us on this journey and take time to offer feedback. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The current plan is to remain in Early Access for about 12 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access we plan to add localisation, more missions, skirmish mode, additional FMVs to communicate more of the story, new maps, new units and music. Additionally we plan to listen to the community whose feedback will assist in guiding the vision.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The initial Early Access release will include, 2 playable factions, 1 non playable faction, 22 missions with associated FMV introductions, over 50 unit and building types. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will engage the community with blogs, whilst we monitor the steam forums and our discord for further feedback. We believe the game will become stronger with community support and guidance.”
