About This Game

SobokoSnake is a relaxing puzzle game where the goal is to eat all the food in the level. Completing a level may be easier said than done however. Explore the levels and see if you can eat everything without getting stuck.

There is beauty in simplicity. Both in looks and mechanics. By taking a minimalist approach in graphics, the focus is shifted to the puzzles. Without any distractions you can fully focus on finding the answers. And as you find them, be amazed at what level of complexity a simple set of rules and mechanics can achieve.

Features
  • Snake! You play as a snake that grows every time it eats. Navigate the levels trying not to get yourself stuck.
  • Boxes! As in Sokoban, but instead of being the goal they get in your way. But maybe you could find a way to put them to good use?
  • Pits! Our snake friend isn't the best at climbing, crossing these obstacles may prove to be a challenge.
  • Doors! Some people really don't like snakes and placed doors to keep them out.
  • Switches! Using door handles proved to be too difficult for the snake. Introducing floor switches to open the doors solved this.
  • Undo / redo system. It's okay to make mistakes. Having the ability to undo your actions will help you in finding the solution.

SobokoSnake was favorably received in /agdg/'s 45th demo day. Providing the motivation for a full release soon to follow. As one person put it: "It's like Snake and Pacman had a baby, and oh my god I don't know how to raise this child."
