Why Early Access?

“Vectorio's development has been a collaborative process from the start, and so I want to involve the community in the development process as much as I can. With the roadmap I have laid out, I'll be able to adjust features and add new content based on valuable player-feedback, which in the end I believe will lead to a better overall experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I am estimating the game will be in early access for no longer than a year based off my roadmap for the game. This could change as development continues, but I feel confident I can deliver my full vision of the game by the end of this year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Vectorio has been in development for nearly half a year now, and the game is finally in place where I feel the community can start playing and giving feedback on it. Although there is still much to do and add, the feedback I collect during the Early Access period will allow me to make any necessary adjustments to the game, as I proceed with the rest of the planned content. This planned content includes the following...

• New regions, buildings, resources, and units
  
• More challenges and unlockable cosmetics
  
• New modes - Extraction & Wave Survival
  
• Full multiplayer support for both PvE & PvP
  
• An in-game modding tool, Vectorio Creator
  
• Refinements to the gameplay (including balancing)

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“I plan to regularly update the early access version of the game with new features, content, and modes. With that said, the current early access version includes only the first of many regions, which in of itself contains over 20 different unique buildings to unlock and use, along with a variety of challenging enemies and enemy outposts to take on. The current version acts as a solid foundation to build on alongside the community, and any player feedback or ideas will be taken into great consideration during these early stages of the games development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, there are no plans to change the pricing of the game once it's fully released.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community can join our public developer run discord server to give feedback or report bugs on the early access version of the game. In this server we have a dedicated area for sharing ideas, reporting bugs, and giving feedback. A link to this server can found both in-game and on the store page above the description. Additionally, I plan on routinely checking the Steam discussion forums, and applying feedback from different posts when continuing to work on the planned early access content.”
