Hvorfor tidlig tilgang?

«We plan for The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe), a Kickstarter-backed project, to consist of multiple novella-length stories, all of which follow different characters with unique plotlines. Our intent by releasing the game in early access is to not only give players the ability to experience these stories as soon as they're ready to play, but allow them to give us feedback on the narrative, UI design, art direction, and additional in-game mechanics throughout our development process. As this is Moirai Myths' first game, our community's perspective on our direction is important to us!»

«The game will remain in early access until it is completed to our satisfaction. We expect this to take multiple years.»

«We intend for the full version of The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) to consist of seven volumes, fully written and artistically finalized. Early access will be missing some story volumes, as they are still being developed, and some art assets might be added in or subject to change.»

«As of right now, the first volume of The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) is ready to play! It's called Book of the Traveler. Our next volumes will be the Book of the Soldier (Shae's Route) and the Book of the Warrior (Maeve's Route).»

«We intend to incrementally increase the price as more content is released in the early access period. Once it leaves early access, the game will be fixed to its final price, excluding any later sales. By lowering the price early on, we can reward the players who chose to support us during our development, and keep the cost consistent with the amount of content currently available.»

«We have a Discord server that we actively monitor for everyone's thoughts and feedback! It's very important to us that our early players are enjoying themselves, and we want to be able to continuously improve our product for you. For example: If you spot a typo or bug, there are channels in our Discord that will allow you to report them! We'll fix it as soon as we can.»

INTRODUCTION




The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) is a lore-rich and choice-driven historical fantasy visual novel inspired by Irish mythology and Celtic folklore. Play as a tenant farmer from mid-19th century Ireland, whose path becomes inexplicably entwined in fairy affairs after getting robbed by the roadside and lured into the mythic and war-torn world of Tír na nÓg: A once unified land, now divided into the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. Will you escape and return home with your stolen belongings? Or does fate have something else in mind?

MEET THE CAST


While trapped in this strange and storied land of old, you meet six members of the Tuatha Dé Danann ("Tribe of the Goddess Danu"), split evenly between the rivalling Seelie and Unseelie Courts. Who will you trust, befriend — romance? In either case, you'd best be careful. Fairies are a capricious sort, and liable to pull you into their own agendas...



SHAE FÉARGLAS... an honourable Seelie soldier questing to find a lost princess.



KEAGAN MÁISTIRÚIN... the Seelie Court spymaster with a plethora of enemies.



AÍFE EALABHÀN... Queen of the Seelie, a rumoured usurper falsely ordained by the gods.



MAEVE TROIDUAIR... an Unseelie folk hero endowed with incredibly power.



FLANNÁN MAC LUGH... the newly ascended Unseelie King, and son of the Unseelie’s infamous rebel leader, Lugaid.



ROBIN GOODFELLOW... the Unseelie's shapeshifting trickster of unknowable origins.

FACTS & QUESTIONS


  • The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) is a Kickstarter-funded project currently in development. Due to the scope of the story, we will be releasing it serially over several years, and intend for our first update to go live in early access Autumn 2024. In the meanwhile, feel free to play our demo!
  • The main character's name and pronouns are determined by the player, but in Vol. 1 (i.e. the demo content), MC will be referred to as "they/them" due to a case of mistaken identity.
  • All upcoming routes will have both romantic and platonic choice options. If you're uninterested in romance, feel free to make friends instead!
  • Shae and Robin are non-binary characters, and respectively use they/them and any/all pronouns. Shae is also asexual.
  • The free demo consists of the introductory volume of The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe). It is 2.5 to 3 hours of total gameplay, and ends at the point in which the player would continue on to a route (Vol. 2-7).
  • Prepare yourself for horse related shenanigans. 🐎
