You play as a mercenary in a world full of zombies and haywire killbots built to destroy them but also target humans. There are a few safe zones, and that is where the survivors gather in various settlements and groups. Even the so-called safe zones are only relatively safe, the undead roam in hordes, and the killbots border the area ready to kill anyone that gets in their zone. To make things worse, raiders and warlords constantly fight for control over supplies and territories, and you are just one mercenary trying to make a living.

There are plenty of things to spend your amms on, from prostitutes, food, drinks, mods for your guns, supplies, etc. each with their own advantages.
