Why Early Access?

“We want to add much more to Notice Me Leena-senpai! but we also need feedback and more time to do so. We think the content of what Leena will have at Early Access launch will be worth the price.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Realistically four to twelve months. Possibly a bit longer if we decide to add more content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Leena will include most of the story mode (main campaign) of the game.

For the full version, we plan to have nine playable worlds for the campaign. Once the campaign is completed fairly early into EA, we plan to add post-campaign content as well as new modes. Possible additional modes include an all random mode. We'd also like to possibly add score challenges. A minimum of 24 towers are planned.

New monster types with unique mechanics are also planned.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently the game features seven playable worlds, all of which are in a complete state, for a total of twenty-two playable levels. These worlds are part of the main campaign. In total, twenty towers are available to play with, starting with just two towers in the first level of the first world, with towers unlocking and worlds unlocking as the story progresses. All aspects of the game grid are fully functional, as well as saving and loading. In-game speed up options are available, as well as pausing. All of the story scenes and maps for the first seven worlds are complete. Menus are fully functional, both in-game and in the title screen.

Game settings include volume settings, difficulty settings, and some graphics settings (fog).

As of version 0.1.7.1, the game now features survival mode, the bonus system, full controller support, the item shop, the tower shop, and real-time build mode.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase after Early Access. However, we may opt to instead release paid DLC later and not increase the price of the base game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will make additional threads in the community hub to ask for feedback on certain things or after certain updates to gauge difficulty of maps/modes and to add quality of life additions.”
