Chaste Tris

Chaste Tris is my first complete video game I have made. It is obviously based on similar other games but easier because there is no gravity. Blocks can be freely moved up, down, left, and right with the arrow keys. They can be rotated with X or Y keys and can also be held for later use with C.

About This Game

Chaste Tris is my first complete video game I have made. It is obviously based on similar other games but easier because there is no gravity. Blocks can be freely moved up, down, left, and right with the arrow keys. They can be rotated with X or Y keys and can also be held for later use with C.

But my game also allows for a new feature that none of the other games have. It is possible to save the state of the game by pressing the . key and reload it with the , key to go back and correct mistakes. This makes it the perfect tool to test out playing styles which would be perfectly valid on other puzzle block style games but would be very difficult.

Consider this game as a relaxing practice tool to test the limits of what you can think of when you have all the time in the world to get it right!

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Any 64 bit Edition of Windows
Processor: Intel
Memory: 64 MB RAM
Graphics: Nothing special. Should work on older PCs very well.
Storage: 2 MB available space
Sound Card: No sound
Additional Notes: Designed using Raylib game programming library with the C programming language.

Chaste Tris License

At this time, because I am new to the world of game development and publishing, I do not know of an existing license that accurately matches the vision I have for this game. As such, the following is my own words of what I want users to be able to do with this game.

I wish to license users of this game to play and learn the mechanics of how it works and to be able to modify it provided they have the technical knowledge to be able to do it. This will include the ability to access the source code.

I want to encourage development of similar games by other programmers because it is a great way to learn the fundamentals of computer programming and all that goes into it. I want to have open communication from those who enjoy playing it and/or have improvements that they can make or that I can possibly implement.

This license may be modified as necessary to adapt to unforeseen technical and legal situations as they arise but will always retain the basic goal of keeping old block style puzzle games alive.
