Miksi Early Access?

TDS -War Games is a project that I decided to develop due to the frustration of trying to find a similar local pvp game to play with friends on the couch. Its base design is reminiscent of the 2000s era fps shooters on consoles (minus their first-person perspective). The game has always been play-tested amongst friends without a wider audience, so most ideas and suggestions came from playthroughs with who was around. Why not expand the audience versus who's in my living room?

Current plans, not limited to but with the possibility of retracting and discarding are,

• Plans of creating more accessibility options for different playstyles.
  
• Plans of creating more levels and arenas.
  
• Plans of expanding upon gameplay mechanics and gameplay balancing.
  
• Plans of improving menu navigation and how information is visually displayed.
  
• Explore more customizable settings; that is, expanding player profiles and game modes.
  
• Explore possible engine capabilities (tutorials, single player, co operative play, scenarios, etc).
  
• Explore community feedback, ideas and suggestions.

The current state of this game at the start of early access offers,

• 2-4 player split-screen local pvp multiplayer.
  
• 7 arenas varying in size, scope and theme.
  
  • 2 arenas support a game mode option for tanks
• Customizable game modes that determine how the game will be played by the players. Including familiar game modes such as
  
  • Death Match
    
  • King of the Hill
    
  • Capture the Flag
• Customize the game modes with several settings including,
  
  • Score limit
    
  • Perks and penalties
    
  • Teams
    
  • Player Spawn settings
• A base and bare profile system where the players can
  
  • Enter a name
    
  • Choose a player skin
    
  • Choose a primary and secondary weapon
    
  • Remap controller buttons
  
  
• Other notes to include
  
  • The GUI is fully navigable albeit with inconsistencies; that is, menu or window instances may display internal program Booleans versus familiar strings such as "active or inactive" when settings are checked.
    
  • Minor graphical glitches exist in-game.
    
  • Possible bugs may exist.

The current plans are not to increase the price after early access.

By involving the community, they can influence game design and features further by giving feedback, suggestions, ideas and bug reports through the Community Hub here on Steam. As a solo developed project, the developer will do their best to respond to the community whenever possible, with transparency about the project in mind.
