“Whisper Mountain Outbreak is already fully playable in both single-player and co-op modes, with a solid foundation of content. However, as a small indie team, we recognize the importance of scale testing—especially for online performance and network stability.

By launching in Early Access, we hope to collaborate closely with the community to identify issues, gather feedback, and refine the experience together. Your input will be invaluable in helping us improve gameplay, balance, and technical performance, ensuring the final version is the best it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add meta progression, more player customization, more story elements, more upgrades, more equipment, more enemies, more scenarios, more mission types and levels.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“There are currently 8 randomized levels with 3 mission types, 12 weapon types (including melee, upgradable firearms, and grenades), 6 character classes, 15 player skill upgrades, a crafting system, and customizable character skins.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to increase the price when 1.0 releases.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

About This Game

Whisper Mountain Outbreak is an isometric co-op PvE multiplayer survival horror game where you and your friends must work together to escape the cursed fog-covered Mt. Bisik.

Explore abandoned buildings, fight monsters, scavenge resources, craft items, solve puzzles, and figure out a way to escape the whispering madness.

STORY

It’s 1998; a mining operation on Mt. Bisik inadvertently unleashed an ancient horror when they disturbed a ruin buried deep inside the mountain.

People started hearing whispers and seeing monsters when a mysterious fog suddenly appeared and covered the area surrounding the mountain. Now, you and your friends are trapped in the cursed Mt. Bisik.

FEATURES

Survive and fight the horde
Monsters will come in waves. Fight them off using a variety of melee and ranged weapons, use herbs to recover your health, and protect each other’s backs!
Co-op multiplayer madness
Teamwork is key in this race to safety. Communicate using in-game proximity voice chat, save downed teammates, and share the scarce resources you find.
Explore, solve puzzles, and find a way to escape... together!
Work together to solve puzzles, find keys, unlock doors, and figure out a way to escape the curse.
Learn new skills and craft items
Turn your hard-earned experience and resources to tackle harder missions by utilizing your newly learned skills and crafted items.
2.5D retro graphics with a claustrophobic, dark, and creepy atmosphere
A lingering fog, tight rooms, limited visibility, and eerie whispers, presented in 2D pixel characters with 3D low-poly environments. Offering both nostalgic and freshly terrifying experiences.
Choose your specialization
At the start of each run, choose from three random classes (out of six total). Each class has unique perks and skills, allowing for different playstyles and strategies.
