What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I believe that everything in the game's development process will be fed by feedback spread over time. Since the game's development process will progress in the form of the story being incorporated into the game, early access is a process I prefer to develop the game in order to observe whether the story is truly told correctly in the game through the general audience.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to continue the Early Access process of Law of the Sword in 2025. I cannot give a clear completion date yet.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“My clear and definite goal is for the full version of Law of the Sword to be playable in its entirety.
Apart from this, solving all the bugs and minimal problems that appear in the game is another of the most important plan headings.
Headings that you cannot see at the moment about the short headings and that I plan to do in the future:
Other weapon masteries that will be added to the game with the story during the game process and being able to use them.
Being able to play by choosing between the sections of the story.
Improved boss fight mechanics.

Since other additions to the game may change within the definite and clear plan flow, I thought it would be sufficient to write only the features included in the clear plan under this heading.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, early access offers limited content based on a linear story consisting of only 5 episodes. It offers an average of 15-40 minutes of gameplay. You can play this process over and over again, but you will encounter the same episodes and the same flow.
In addition, there are improved dynamic sound controls and cinematic camera angles.
There is a fluid fighting mechanism that can be played with only one weapon.
There are 2 boss fights and 4 different mob encounter scenes.
There are various dialogues in the city where you can interact with many NPCs and get limited information about the story and the universe.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

Law of the Sword When Early Access is complete, there will definitely be a price increase.
The reason why the price is kept low during Early Access is because I want players who want to support my game to have easy access to the game and not be affected by the price increase at the end of Early Access.

I also plan to gradually increase the price as new content and features are added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will be using "Discord", "X(Twitter)", "Steam" and "LinkedIn" platforms to establish a community and communicate with valuable players who support me in the development process of the Law of the Sword project. I will definitely take your feedback for the Law of the Sword game into consideration through these platforms.

It is very important for me to be able to correctly transfer the Law of the Sword story to gameplay. The feedback from the community on this issue is especially valuable to me.”

About This Game

Law of the Sword: A Story Forged from Steel

Step into a fantasy world balanced by the spirits of swords and protected by law: Law of the Sword is a universe prepared with Stylized Fantasy and Hand Painted visuals, this story is about the events experienced by a knight of a kingdom in the Middle Ages. It has a story-based gameplay.

So What Awaits You in the Early Access Process?

Story-Focused Gameplay

The game is designed on scenes where stories are animated, offering an immersive experience with a story created by the Law of the Sword. It has a gameplay where you can get small details about the game by talking to NPCs in the game and go deeper into the story by carefully examining the scenes.

Each scene tells a part of the story.

Fluent Fighting Mechanics

It offers gameplay where you can neutralize the enemies you encounter with the weapon you have with different methods.

You can create your own strategies by defending, avoiding and attacking at the right time.

The fighting mechanics that do not confuse you and do not distract you from the story allow you to make different combo mechanics.

What Will Happen in the First Version?

I plan to release the first version in early access and have only 5 episodes in this version. These 5 episodes are designed to prepare you for the game. It is a version where you can both test the mechanics and see simple information about the universe.

Information or content about the main story will not be available in this version.

The gameplay in the 5-episode section offers 15-40 minutes of content depending on your mastery and allows you to play again and again.

What Will Happen in the Future?

Let's take a brief look at our plans for the next version after the version that provides information about the first universe and gets you used to the mechanics:

Scenes where we will enter the universe and are designed with a focus on the story.

New weapons that we can use.

A fictional character and enemy that we will encounter.

My goal is to complete the sections of the story over time. Your contributions are also very important in this process, since I developed the game independently, your positive or negative comments are valuable to me.

Why Early Access?

Law of the Sword is a project that I developed independently.

I do many tests and trials while developing the game, but since I developed the game alone, there may be some details and errors that I do not see or come across.

Early access is a decision I made because I thought it would allow me to collect feedback from you, our valued players.

What are the Remarkable Details?

Stylized Fantasy

For me, the game should have visual elements drawn and designed in a Stylized Fantasy manner. I designed the visual integrity and art design of the game with this in mind.

The Law of the Sword

Law of the Sword is not just the name of the game. It is a law written to protect the integrity of the game universe. The main principle that forms the story is only Law of the Sword.

Cinematography

  • All scenes in the game are arranged with cinematic camera angles for you to enjoy as if you were watching a movie.

  • The balance of sound and music has been carefully crafted to provide an experience that is integrated with the game's production.

Are you ready to enter the world of Law of the Sword?

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

There is rarely any strong language in the play. War is fought with swords and axes, no blood is used. In an artistic ballet scene, sexuality is limited to a clothed female character only.
