Wozu Early Access?

„We put our previous game Duskers into Early Access and it was an amazing experience. We got so much amazing feedback that helped Duskers grow into a game we're very proud of. We want to replicate that experience with Below the Crown. And given that we have more community features in the game, it felt like a great fit. “

Wie lange wird dieses Spiel ungefähr den Early Access-Status haben?

„Our initial plan is to be in Early Access for about five months. This feels like a good balance between getting feedback and getting to 1.0. “

Wie soll sich die Vollversion von der Early Access-Version unterscheiden?

„We plan to have more of everything: Wizards, Runes (levels of difficulty), Pieces, Upgrades, Skills, Spells, Boards, Hazards, Bosses, Narrative, Gameplay modes... as well as ways to share, compete, and learn. We also plan to add more polish with animations, sounds, music, QOL features, and support for what the community is excited about. “

Was ist der derzeitige Stand der Early Access-Version?

„The current version has more in every area from our initial Demo (Wizards, Runes, Spells, Upgrades, Skills, Narrative), but will still have several doors of the castle blocked, as well as other features that haven't yet been implemented. It does have a daily challenge and player challenges and the new Random Run.

There's a lot of art, animation, sound, and overall polish that needs to be added. We've improved the speed of the AI and added helpful features to make it work better with various machines, but we're sure there are still some kinks to work out. “

Wird dieses Spiel während und nach Early Access unterschiedlich viel kosten?

„The game's price will remain the same during Early Access. We may raise the price when we launch 1.0 “

Wie werden Sie versuchen die Community in den Entwicklungsprozess miteinzubeziehen?

„Absolutely. We have an active Discord where we chat with our community and hope to grow the community on the Steam forums as well. We don't see much point in Early Access if we're not involving the community :) “

Welcome to the Dungeon

The Emperor wants gold, and you're just the wizard to get it. Journey into the depths with a Rook, an Archer, and maybe a spell or two. Upgrade your party, learn new skills yourself, and discover what’s really going on in the darkness below. Spend the gold you find to help you survive - or risk saving it for the Emperor.

Chess meets Awesome

No memorizing openings, long drawn-out endgames, or stalemates. Start with 1 piece instead of 16. Cast new pieces with exciting abilities onto the board. No analysis paralysis – enemy movement stays basic until you encounter the dungeon’s bosses… Collect Undo Tokens if you need ’em, or more gold if you don’t!

You are not Alone

Post your epic victories as challenges to the community! Watch replays from top players to further improve your skills as you take on Daily Challenges. Dive into the custom board editor to create & download new rooms to spice up your dungeons in this massively single-player experience.

This is a Test

Answer simple questions based on your psychological state and relationships to your pieces as you progress through the depths of the Dungeon. Please answer openly and honestly. Your answers will not be used against you.
