«During the development of a project like this, community feedback during the creation of various features is extremely important. The best feedback will come from experience, and as such making this project available in early access makes the most sense.»

«The project will be in early access until the list of release features on our website is complete, or we have determined that an equivalent value in features has been otherwise met. We anticipate that goal to be met by Late 2022, exiting really access at that time.»

«The Early Access version will differ from the full release greatly in the beginning, but should differ less and less as time goes on.
We would like the full release to include:
  • Dedicated Board, Card, and Dice editors

  • Many quality of life changes
  • Community requested features that may not even exist yet!

Currently, during Alpha 1.0 this package does nothing, as the Editor is temporarily free to access. After the multiplayer update for Board Game Engine, this package will give access to the Editor.

This is the Editor package for the Board Game Engine, giving access to all current editing capabilities.
The Board Game Engine was built with game developers in mind as a tool for designing and prototyping your very own tabletop games with as much freedom as possible.

Game Editor

A detailed game editor for creating your final prototypes. Everything you need to make your games can be found in the Game Editor, though dedicated editors are planned for all components. Load games into sessions to play your game while preserving the original save.

Versioning Support

All save types have versioning support, so you can switch between different versions of any type of save, even down to individual components.

Deck Editor

A dedicated deck editor, pulling together all saved cards into one simple UI for constructing decks.

Steam Workshop Support

Upload and download creations on the Steam Workshop. Free to play users can download from the Workshop too!
