Design Your Starting Family

With the new Family Designer feature, you have much more control over your initial family. Customise each character’s age and appearance, as well as your family’s size. Do you want to begin with a troop of children, or none at all? You can even start from an empty house, for an extra challenge.

Mould Your Children to Your Needs

With new events surrounding your child’s upbringing, you can influence how they grow and develop. Determine their personalities and the skills they learn. Or use them as political pawns to build trust with vassals and nearby rulers.

Control Who Inherits

New succession models have been added, giving players more options and control over who will rise to power within the dynasty. Wield the ability to disinherit family members and appoint new heirs wisely, to keep everyone in line. And when you’re tired of ruling, abdicate and let your heirs handle the mess.
