About This Game

Carta Marina is a map of Scandinavia drawn by the Swedish pastor Olaus Magnus (1490-1557).

We are starting an attempt to reconstruct this map and turn it into a simulation game.
The objective of the game is to complete the map by adventuring through the nine parts of the Carta Marina.
All the information in the game is based on the 16th century, so you will be able to learn the values of Scandinavia at that time.

StoryThe main character is staring at a large map in a university laboratory.
Carta Marina" is a mysterious map that exists in this world. The existence of the map itself has been questioned for many years, but recently one of the nine maps has been discovered.
As I looked at the map, a fog gradually began to roll in. I blinked...
The scene in the map of Carta Marina was spread out in front of me.

The protagonist realizes that the number of maps in reality increases as the number of areas explored in Carta Marina increases.
The protagonist enters the map again and again, sometimes expanding the area of exploration.
Complete the complete map with 9 pieces of the real Carta Marina by your own hands.

Objective of the gameThe objective of the player is to go back and forth between the world of Carta Marina and reality, and make a complete map of Carta Marina appear in reality.

As you explore the map (ships on the sea, horses on the land), the area of the map, which is only one map in reality, will expand.
When you get stuck in the 16th century, you will be presented with a solution to your problem, and when you implement the solution, the obstacle will be removed and you will be able to go to a new area to explore.
All solutions are based on 16th century Scandinavian culture.

The screen changes depending on the actions taken by the player.
Not exploredThe area around your island, ship, or other location is covered by a thin fog and cannot be recognized.
However, the fog is enough to let the player know that something is out there, which stimulates the player's desire to explore.

After the searchThe map is clearly displayed.
On the map, there are several objects that can be recorded in the picture book by examining them.
When you click on an object that has already been recorded in the book, the details of the object will be displayed, and your book will be filled up.

We are making this game in honor of Olaus Magnus, who left us a wonderful map and book.
